Shep's Mound

A purpose-made spotting mound on Ross Smith Avenue overlooking Sydney Airport, with a broad view across the field. Dedicated parking and bins provided. Mornings are the standout window, both because the international arrivals bank lands then and because the sun sits behind you. Also popular at night for lit runway shots. No toilets and no food nearby.

Parking

Dedicated free parking at the mound. By public transport, take the bus from T2 domestic to the Blue Emu car park, then walk about 10 minutes.
