Harbor Island Park

A waterfront park on Harbor Island with views across San Diego Bay to the downtown skyline and the Coronado Bridge, and aircraft on approach to Runway 27 passing overhead. A 1.5-mile walking path runs the length of the island. As much a scenic waterfront spot as a spotting location - sunrise and sunset here are exceptional. Benches but few other facilities.

Best time

Open 06:00-22:30. Sunrise is quiet and serene; sunset gives city lights. Best during the standard westerly approach.
