A raised platform giving a view of the whole runway and most of the airfield, positioned for 25R - Barcelona's normal landing runway, also used for heavy departures, so you can catch widebodies at the holding point. Quieter than the main mirador down the road, which makes it the better choice if you want space to work. Parking is awkward.

Lens guide

100-400mm for runway movements; a good phone can manage acceptable shots given the proximity.

Best time

Open 24 hours. Best when 25R is in use for landings, which is the Barcelona default.

Parking

Difficult. Most people park on the roadside and walk across to the platform. Take care crossing.
