SFO SkyTerrace (Terminal 2)

A free landside observation deck on the top level of Terminal 2, with both indoor and outdoor areas overlooking the runways. Entry is outside security but there is a metal detector and x-ray screening at the door. Food and drink are permitted. Signage is poor and mapping apps are unreliable for finding it - go into Terminal 2 and head up, asking at the information booth if needed.

Best time

Open 10:00-18:00 Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - verify before travelling.

Parking

Terminal 2 garage parking, or take the AirTrain Red Line three stops from the BART station.
