Narita Terminal 1 Observation Deck

A large free landside observation deck at Terminal 1, accessible without a boarding pass and connected to a substantial shopping and dining floor. Predominantly Star Alliance traffic from this side. The deck is fenced with tight mesh, but there are dedicated cutouts sized to fit camera lenses through - use these rather than shooting over the top. Some building structures obstruct parts of the approach and departure path.

100-400mm through the fence cutouts; these are sized for larger lenses.

Best time

Open 06:30-21:00. Narita's international banks concentrate in the morning and late afternoon.

Terminal 1 parking, or Narita Express / Keisei to Narita Airport Terminal 1. Food and shopping on the same floor.
