Changi T1 Viewing Mall (Level 3)

A free, publicly accessible indoor viewing gallery on Level 3 of Terminal 1, looking out over the gates and aprons. You can watch aircraft dock and push back, with taxiing traffic passing close by; landings on 20R are visible when the wind favours it. The best close-up views come when gate C11 is occupied. Being indoors makes this the reliable Changi option in wet weather. Restaurants nearby on the same level.

Best time

Open 24 hours. Shooting through glass, so aim for times without harsh reflections and bring a rubber lens hood.

Parking

Terminal 1 car park. MRT to Changi Airport station is straightforward and the gallery is a short walk.
