Belle Isle Marsh Reservation

A salt marsh reservation in East Boston with a wooden observation tower giving views over the marsh, the Boston skyline and aircraft on approach to Logan. Aircraft pass low enough to read airline titles. Free parking on site. Genuinely a nature reserve first and a spotting location second, with birdlife alongside the aviation. Mosquitoes are severe in the marsh sections during summer - stay on the boardwalk and trails.

Best time

Open 06:00-17:00. Best during northwest flow when arrivals come in over the marsh.

Free parking on site off Bennington Street. Porta-potty available. No dogs permitted.
