Haneda Terminal 1 Observation Deck

A free rooftop deck on the 6th floor of the Terminal 1 mall, with decks on both the north and south sides, both facing west. The JAL hub side of Haneda. On clear days Mount Fuji sits behind the runway, and it is a well-known sunset location. Wire fencing surrounds the deck, but a telephoto lens clears it without the mesh entering the frame. Seating and vending machines available. The north deck is generally considered the better of the two.

50mm and up clears the fence mesh cleanly; 100-400mm for runway movements.

Best time

Open 06:30-22:00. Late afternoon and sunset are the draw, with Fuji visible in clear winter air.

Terminal 1 parking, or Tokyo Monorail / Keikyu Line direct to Haneda Airport Terminal 1.
