Spotting Point MXP

The established Malpensa spotting position at Lonate Pozzolo, where aircraft pass low directly overhead when landing on the left runway, and taxi close by when heading to the right runway. Trees provide some shelter in rain. Genuinely close to the action - loud, and all the better for it.

70-200mm for aircraft passing overhead; 100-400mm for the runway further out.

Best time

Open 24 hours. Which runway is active determines whether you get overhead passes or taxi shots.

Parking

Roadside parking at Lonate Pozzolo. Some tree cover for shade and rain. No facilities.
